![]() ![]() I've checked the system tab and found no conflicts and only one audio recording device which is the camera. This makes me think that there is a software conflict and that some software is overriding the lifecam and muting it. So something is automatically muting the microphone. In this case I have to go to the Control Panel -> Sound and Audio devices -> Audio tab -> Sound Recording and uncheck the mute button as well as put up the volume for the microphone. Worse still every now and then the microphone ceases to respond even though I replug it. This occurs everytime I restart or turn on the computer again. So for example when someone phones me on skype I have to reconnect the camera to make the microphone work, its rather tedious. Computer has had a fresh install all drivers installed and runs perfectly including PC games except for this one annoyance. Before I start I use this same USB camera in the same setup on three different computers of different makes and the problem only occurs on this one, here are the specs. ![]()
